Wouter Devroe: Towards a truly interactive common law for Europe. Tales from the economic/competition law laboratory.
Let’s finish the European law semester in a great style! The second annual Lord Slynn Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Wouter Devroe, significant law professor and Vice Dean Research at the Law Faculty of the University of Leuven, teaching european competition law.
Professor Devroe also worked as a referendaire at the European Court of Justice from 1992 to 1995. Currently he is working as an attorney representing clients before the ECJ and he also leads the Leuven Center for a Common Law of Europe.
Professor Devroe is looking forward to see us. For connoseurs he prepared an extra seminar (capacity limited) on three ECJ cases focused on competition and procedural autonomy, insider trading and ne bis in idem in competition matters from the perspective of a lawyer before ECJ. The seminar will be taught on Tuesday at 10 o’clock.
Lord Slynn Memorial Lecture is to honour outstanding lawyer and judge, friend and honorary member of the Common Law Society late Lord Slynn of Hadley.
