Dear friends,


let us invite you for our annual memorial lecture dedicated to great person and outstanding lawyer Lord Gordon Slynn of Hadley. This memorial is intended to promote common law, european law and international law topics.



This year the topic is ANTITRUST LAW IN HIGH-TECH CONTEXT and our guest lecturer will beprof. NICOLAS PETIT from Université de Li?ge, Belgium. The lecture will be focused on recent cases and development on technology markets, IT, etc.



Prof. Petit is one of the top european antitrust lawyers, he holds a PhD (thesis on Oligopolies and tacit collusion in EC competition law, April 2007), a LL.M in European Law with Highest Honors (College of Europe, Bruges – 2001-2002) and a DESS in European Business Law (University Paris II, Panthéon Assas 2000-2001).Since 2005, he has been special counsel at Howrey LLP, Brussels. In 2008 he was awarded the Jacques Lassier Prize by the International League of Competition law. He was visiting researcher at Harvard Law School (January 2006) and has been since 2004 research Fellow of the Global Competition Law Centre and Secretary of the Scientific Committee, College of Europe, Bruges. He has also worked as a clerk at the Commercial Chamber of the French Supreme Court.
